Albert A. Lundeen Jr. of Stanchfield, MN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.
These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.
What remains is what was loved.
Early on May 1, 2026, we said goodbye to our dad at the age of 97. Jr Lundeen entered the world on March 9, 1929, born in his parents' home near Dalbo as a snowstorm raged outside. He met his future wife, the love of his life Marilyn, in their small country school, beginning a partnership that would last 67 years. Their lives were rooted in the land-they farmed side by side from the beginning and later enjoyed retirement on the family farm they built together.
Some of Jr's greatest joys were hunting, gardening, and sharing early morning breakfasts at People's Café or the Dusty Eagle. In the summer, he would typically bring in veggies from his garden for the servers. He loved to talk and tell stories to anyone willing to listen, and he was always ready to offer treats, snacks, or a cup of coffee. Above all, he cherished time with his family and was deeply proud of each and every one of them.
He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn, his parents Albert and Agnes, two sisters Gloria Rosen and Annette Bellin, and numerous other relatives.
He is survived by his four daughters: Luanne (Greg) Browen, Linda (Keith) Fluth, Debbie (Bob) Brown, and Doreen (Ken) Ostrom; along with his grandchildren, great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild on the way.
He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
In honor of our dad, a Celebration of Life Gathering will be held at Karmel Covenant Church on Sunday, May 31, 2026, from 3-6 p.m.
