Zwleyka Irene Saldado-Jorles of North Augusta, SC, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.

Zwleyka held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Zwleyka Salgado-Jorles, 53, of North Augusta, entered into rest April 30, 2026, at the Charlie Norwood VA Medical Center. A Prayer Service will be conducted Friday evening, May 8th, at 6 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with visitation immediately following until 8 o'clock. A Memorial Service will be conducted Saturday afternoon, May 9th, at 3 o'clock in the Posey Funeral Chapel with the rendering of Full Military Honors.
Zwleyka was born February 25, 1973, in Cuernava, Mexico and was a lifelong resident of Arizona. A single mom at the age of 18, she became a strong woman with great character. Zwleyka enlisted with the U.S. Army and proudly served her country for 16 years before her medical retirement. While in service, she met and married her beloved husband, Jose, and together they had three more children. She was a devout Christian and a member of Christ Lives Baptist Church in Beech Island. Zwleyka was a community servant, was incredibly charitable, and always sought ways to give of herself. She loved her Spanish community and often volunteered her talents to help with language translation. Zwleyka was a constant learner, enjoyed studying, and was currently pursuing a degree in psychology.
Zwleyka was preceded in death by her first husband, Owen Marzette. Family members left to cherish her memory include her husband of 19 years, Jose Jorles; five children, Luis Antonio Salgado, Jozwan Jorles Salgado, Zwjair Jorles Salgado, Jazwri Jorles Salgado, and Erica Jorles Salgado; her parents, Miguel Salgado and Margarita Catalan; her sisters, Lucia Rendon (Cuauhtemoc Rendon), Maria Salgado (Bernabe Aguirre), Alba Salgado (Enoc Alvarado),
,Janett S. Hernandez (Jorge Hernandez), Milagro Salgado Catalan, and Karla Salgado Catalan.
