Andrew John Kidd of Brownstown, IN, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Andrew spent his working life as ['Brownstown Electric'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

The community of faith holds its own well — and Andrew was held.

Andrew John Kidd, age 47, of Crothersville, passed away on Sunday, May 3, 2026.Andy was baptized at Tampico Baptist Church and remained a lifelong member of the church.He worked in parts at Gilstrap, and he also worked at Brownstown Electric. During covid, Andy started Kidd Krazy Affordable Inflatables and continued in that business for many years.Andy loved his family and especially treasured time at home with his daughter, whether they were checking the cows, riding the four-wheeler, fishing together, or simply enjoying each other’s company while teaching her the things he loved most. He also enjoyed boating, riding Harley-Davidson motorcycles, and weekend getaways with his wife. He loved hunting, gardening, attending truck shows, and spending time outdoors. In addition, he took great pride in founding the Jackson County Road Conditions Facebook page.Andy was fun-loving, always smiling, and never met a stranger, and he was consistently ready and willing to help anyone in need.Born on September 3, 1978, in Seymour, Andy was the son of Ronald Lee and Susan (Eckelman) Kidd. His father preceded him in death on July 24, 2013, and his mother survives in Crothersville. On September 20, 2014, at First Baptist Church in Scottsburg, he married Natosha LaMaster, and she survives in Crothersville.Survivors also include one daughter, Taitum Kay Lynn Kidd; stepson, Trey Spaulding; one brother, Brian (Carmen) Kidd of Crothersville; one sister, Melanie (Ryan) Barker of Seymour; nieces: Jada Barker and Sydney Thackery; nephews: Jarrett Barker and Braden Kidd; great-niece, Brynlee Thackery; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.Andy was also preceded in death by one brother, Adam Mark Kidd.Funeral services for Andrew John Kidd will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc., Brownstown, with Pastor David Schill officiating. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery, Brownstown.Memorials may be given to Tampico Baptist Church, GrassyFork Volunteer Fire Department, or Russell Chapel Cemetery.Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the caring staff at Spurgeon Funeral Home, Inc.Online memories and condolences may be given at www.spurgeonfh.com
