Audie Rychlik, 90 formerly of Brenham, died May 5, 2026 in Bryan, Texas.She was born June 12, 1935 in Watson, AR to Mack and Evelyn (Nelson) Hawkins. She was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith in 1959. On December 2, 1954 she married Louis Rychlik in Watson, AR.Survivors include her children: Phyllis Surmiller and husband, Steve of Willis, Richard Rychlik of Brenham, Karen Rychlik of Chicago, IL; sister-in-law: Loretta Rychlik of Rosenberg; grandchildren: Jason and Vanesa Surmiller, Amber and Tim McNamara, Richard, Jr. and Leigha Rychlik, Phillip and Valeria Rychlik; great-grandchildren: Stephen Louis Surmiller, Amelia Isabel Surmiller; cousins and numerous nieces and nephews.Audie is preceded by her husband, her parents, and sisters and in-laws. The visitation with the family will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 6, 2026 at Memorial Oaks Chapel in Brenham. The Rosary will begin at 7:00 p.m.The funeral mass will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, May 7, 2026 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brenham. Burial will follow in Calvary Catholic Cemetery.In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Mary's Catholic Church in Brenham.
