It is with sorrow and gratitude that we mark the passing of Austin Khomlasaben, 57, of Jacksonville, FL — sorrow at the loss, gratitude for the life.

Some lives speak quietly; his is one such story.

Austin entered this world in 1969 — the start of a journey that would span 57 years.

Some people pass through; others leave a path.

It is with broken hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved father, Austin Khamtanh Khomlasaben who passed away on May 3, 2026 at the age of 57.Austin was a loving husband, devoted father, a loyal friend, and a man whose strength, kindness, and wisdom shaped everyone who knew him. He was born on January 16, 1969 in Savannakhet, Laos and throughout his life he carried a deep sense of responsibility, love, and quiet resilience.He will be remembered for his sense of humor, generosity, work ethic, active involvement and presence, compassion and for the way he always put his family first. Whether it was showing up when it mattered, video recording or taking pictures of everyone's big life moments he made a lasting impact that will never be forgotten.He is survived by his devoted wife, Malaykanh "Molly" Khomlasaben; his loving daughters, Amanda and Alexi Khomlasaben, who were his greatest pride and joy; his mother, Bounthane Khomlasaben; his sisters, Lee Nowak and Toun Bounsombath; and his brothers, Phonsavanh and Korakane Khomlasaben. He also leaves behind extended family members and dear friends who will forever cherish his memory.A celebration of life will be held May 9th at Jax Church, where family and friends will gather to celebrate his life and legacy.Though our hearts are heavy, we take comfort in the love he gave and the memories we shared. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
