Carolyn was a devoted wife, loving mother, and proud grandmother whose life was defined by service, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Evester Carter Sr.

A passionate and dedicated educator, Carolyn devoted over 30 years to the Grand Rapids Public School System, where she served both as a teacher and an administrator. Her impact extended far beyond the classroom, shaping the lives of countless students and colleagues through her leadership, wisdom, and care.

Carolyn was a proud and active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated for over 50 years. Her commitment to sisterhood, scholarship, and service reflected the very principles she lived by each day.

The family is still working out details for a Memorial service to be held at a later date.
