Charles Lewis Cox, 92, of South Charleston departed this life Sunday, May 3, 2026 at the West Virginia Veterans Nursing Facility, Clarksburg with family by his side.
He was born June 5, 1933 in Richwood, WV. A son of the late, Lewis Wellington Cox and Ora Arminta Wilson.
Charlie was a U.S. Army Veteran and Barber in South Charleston for 56 years.
Those left to cherish his memory include his loving children, Becky Parkins (Ed) and Shelley Baston (Conrad); granddaughter, Joy Hamilton (Addison) and great granddaughter Bailee Nicole Thompson.
A graveside service will be held at 1:00 PM., Friday, May 8, 2026 at Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes with Rance Berry officiating. Military rites will be performed by the WV Honor Guard and Daniel Boone VFW Post 5578.
