Charles R. "Chuck" Zimmerman of Columbia, PA, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

Charles R. "Chuck" Zimmerman, 80 of Mount Joy, passed away with his family by his side on April 23, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of the late Gloria Kiehl Zimmerman who preceded him in death in 2021. Born in Mount Joy, he was the son of the late Franklin C. and Mary Mateer Zimmerman.
Chuck retired in 2000 after 36 years of service from Armstrong World Industries where he was employed as a machine operator. He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Mount Joy. In his earlier years he coached pee-wee baseball for the M.J A.A. and C.B.A.A. Chuck was active at the Columbia Senior Center and was a member of the Community Chorus of Marietta. He enjoyed bowling and frequent trips to Bethany Beach.
He is survived by his sons, Charles A. "Chuck", husband of Janelle Zimmerman; Matthew Zimmerman, engaged to Sara Johnson; three grandchildren, Scott, Lauren & Lilly and great-grandson, Cason. His sister, Renee Becker, also survives. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Bill, Frank and Peg.
Funeral services will be held from the Clyde W. Kraft Funeral Home, Inc. 519 Walnut St. Columbia PA on Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at 11:00 AM with the Rev. Michael Martine, officiating. Burial will follow in Laurel Hill Memorial Gardens. Friends may view on Tuesday one hour prior to the service.
