Charlotte R. Tyler of Parsons, TN has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.
The chapters of her life were many; these are some of them.
Charlotte held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Belief, when lived, becomes a kind of inheritance.
Charlotte Rosalie Tyler passed on May 2, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in Decaturville, TN on September 26, 1946, to the late Neva Charlyne Linton and Michael J. Linton.
A mother, grandmother, aunt, cherished friend, and a businesswoman.
She was the steady heartbeat of her family-the one who remembered, offered wisdom without judgment, and somehow always knew how to be there for someone when they needed it the most.
She faced life's challenges with a quiet grace and an unshakable hope, always reminding those around her that "this will pass" and held the Serenity prayer close to her heart. Charlotte loved to read and always enjoyed the solitude that peaceful moments brought.
She is survived by her three children, Michael Tyler, Letisha Dixon, and Greg Tyler.
Known as Grandma Charlie to her five grandchildren, Joseph Tyler, Brooklyn Griggs, Douglas Griggs, Tiffany (Dakota) Vann, and Cameron Dixon.
One sister, Judi Mulford. Two brothers, Michael 'Butch' (Jackie) Linton and Edward (Edith) Linton.
Loved by her 14 nieces and 11 nephews, many cousins and good friends.
She was preceded in death by her daughter, Michelle Tyler Wilson. Two sisters, Mary Kay Linton Daniel and Dorothy Ann Linton. One brother, Billy Linton. Brother-in law, Jim Mulford.
Charlotte taught us that the greatest legacy is not in things accomplished, but in the love we leave behind. She will live on in every act of kindness.
Visitation will be held at Parsons Mortuary on Wednesday May 6, 2026, 10am-9pm. Visitation will continue on Thursday May 7, 2026, from 9:00AM until time of funeral service. Funeral services will be held on Thursday May 7, 2026, at 2:00PM in the Parsons Mortuary Chapel with burial in the Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery.
Rest in peace, dear Grandma Charlie.
Your love surrounds us still, and we will carry you in our hearts until we meet again.
