Cleon Joseph Scriven of Lamar, CO, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.

Cleon spent his working life as ['a couple of freight companies until his retirement'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

What remains is what was loved.

A graveside memorial service will be held at a later date.Cleon Joseph Scriven went to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 25, 2026 with his sister Ileen and brother Dee and wife Karla at his side. He was born in Lamar, Colorado on March 20, 1943 which meant he shared his birthday with his younger brother Daniel David. He grew up in Lamar and graduated from Lamar Union High School in 1962 and then continued on to Graduate from Lamar Junior College in 1964.
