Clyde Wesley Kuykendall of Pelzer, SC, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.
Behind every name is a life, and behind every life are the people who loved it.
Clyde held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
What is held in faith is rarely lost.
Clyde Wesley Kuykendall, 73, of Pelzer, SC, passed away on Monday, April 27, 2026. Born in Greenville, SC, he was the son of the late Andrew W. and Betty Scott Kuykendall.
Clyde is survived by two children, Stephanie Roxanne Kuykendall and Clyde Wesley Kuykendall Jr.; six siblings, Barbara Diane Walbridge (David), Samuel Lee Kuykendall (Donna), Arthur Lynn Kuykendall (Melinda), Sandra Darlene Timmons (Joey), Phillip Eugene Kuykendall (Kim), and Betty Nadine McCall; many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Clyde Nathaniel Kuykendall; an infant son; his beloved partner, Donnita Jackson; and a brother-in-law, Leo McCall.
A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at 12:00 p.m. at Bethlehem Baptist Church; 1809 Fork Shoals Road, Greenville, SC 29605. Interment will follow in Conestee Community Cemetery.
The family will receive friends prior to the service beginning at 11:00 a.m.
