DIAGO A. JULIAN of Little Compton, RI has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.
A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of his story.
Memory has a way of softening time.
Diago, "Duke" A. Julian, 59, of Little Compton, Rhode Island, tragically passed away on May 2nd, 2026.
Duke was born in Fall River, Massachusetts to his parents Diago Julian and Marion Ponte (née Bouchard).
Duke was an avid fisherman, entrepreneur, friend, husband, father, and beloved grandfather. Known for his enduring sense of humor, compassion, and acceptance for others, he was a strong friend to many, always an ear to listen and a voice to give advice.
Duke is survived by his mother, Marion Ponte; his sister, Geralyn; his cherished wife, Nicole Julian; his oldest daughter and her husband, Abigail and Joshua Despres; his eldest son and wife, Duke and Mikayla Julian; and his three grandchildren, Luna, Maximus, and Bloom. He is preceded in death by his father, Diago Julian, and his beloved youngest son, Maximus Julian.
Duke was a caring person who wanted the best for those who crossed his path. His greatest passion in life was being a father, a husband, and, newly, a grandfather. He found his purpose and importance in his family and the love they shared. He leaves behind memories of love, purpose, and motivation for all to continue moving on their own path despite the challenges that come their way. He will be remembered, loved, and kept alive in the memories and stories held by those who knew him best; he will be forever missed.
Visiting hours will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026 from 4:00-7:00PM at Fern Acres Funeral Home, 72 Willow Avenue, Little Compton. Interment will be Saturday, May 9, 2026, 10:30AM at Our Lady of Fatima Cemetery, South of Commons Road, Little Compton.
