Diane Moy of Pawelekville, TX, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved her dearly.
Below, the simplest tribute: the truth of a life as it was lived.
Diane spent her working life as ['banking in Floresville'] and held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
What is held in faith is rarely lost.
Diane Marie (Dziuk) Moy, age 68, of Pawelekville, Texas passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on Sunday, May 3, 2026. Diane was born on November 1, 1957, to Edwin P. Dziuk and Theresa (Jaskinia) Dziuk in Jourdanton, Texas.
Throughout her life, Diane was a loving mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. She married John Wayne Moy on September 24, 1977, and together they soon began their family spending almost 49 years together. One of her most proudest joys was being a devoted and caring mother. Diane was always ensuring her children had everything they needed to succeed during their school years.
Diane spent her professional career in banking in Floresville, where she took great pride in her work and remained dedicated for many years. She was a longtime member of Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa, where she was also an active member of the Altar Society.
Her most cherished role was being "Nana" to her grandchildren who meant the world to her. Diane enjoyed working in her yard and taking care of her plants along with spending time outdoors. She was a wonderful cook and baker, known for the care she put into every meal and sweet treat. Her love for the outdoors extended to hunting and fishing on the family ranches.
Diane especially enjoyed her Sunday evening drives to the ranches with her beloved Johnny, often stopping for a Dairy Queen ice cream treat – a cherished memory Johnny will forever treasure. She also loved vacations and holidays spent with her family and extended loved ones, with one of her favorite destinations being on the Port Aransas coast for a relaxing weekend getaway.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Edwin and Theresa Dziuk; son, John Wayne Moy II; brother, Dennis Dziuk; father and mother-in-law, Thomas and Olivia Moy; two brothers-in-law, John Jaskinia and Maurice "Pete" Peterson; and a sister-in-law, Darlene Moy.
Diane is survived by her husband of 48 years, John Wayne "Johnny" Moy; children, Jessica (Jeff) Luna and Joshua (Ashley) Moy; grandchildren, Madison Luna, Major Luna, Laynie Ruple, John Ruple, Elizabeth Ruple, Travis Moy, Piper Moy and Tuf Moy; siblings, Larry (Pat) Dziuk, Marvin (Cheryl) Dziuk, Edwin (Geralyn) Dziuk and Michelle (Steven) Dziuk. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews and extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. on Friday, May 8, at the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa with a Rosary to be recited at 7 o'clock that evening.
The funeral Mass will be celebrated there at 10 a.m. Saturday, May 9, with Father Wieslaw Iwaniec officiating. Burial will follow in the Cestohowa Cemetery.
