Domingo Faudoa Garcia of Eaton, CO, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.
Below, the family shares some of what made his life meaningful.
Domingo held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
The community of faith holds its own well — and Domingo was held.
Domingo Faudoa Garcia, 75, of Eaton, Colorado, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on April 30, 2026. He was born on August 4, 1950, in Chihuahua, Mexico, to Isidro Faudoa and Frevedino Garcia.
At the age of 25, Domingo came to the United States and immediately went to work, driven by his deep commitment to providing for his family. He built a long and dedicated career with the railroad, where he worked his way up to a foreman and was a proud member of the union for many years.
Outside of work, Domingo found joy in life's simple pleasures. He loved fishing, watching classic Westerns-especially those starring his favorite actor, John Wayne-and spending time in his recliner enjoying his shows. He also had a fondness for crossword puzzles and playing dominoes. More than anything, Domingo cherished time with his grandchildren, whom he loved to spoil with trips to McDonald's and pizza outings.
Domingo remained deeply connected to his roots and treasured his visits back to his hometown in Mexico to spend time with family. His faith was the cornerstone of his life, and he was a devoted Catholic who carried his beliefs with quiet strength and humility.
He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
Domingo is survived by his children, Gabe Faudoa, Javier (Treanna) Faudoa, and Feliz Faudoa; his 10 grandchildren; his siblings, Augustine Faudoa, Lorensa Faudoa (Isidro Lopez), and Cecilio Faudoa (Josefina Gutierrez); as well as a large extended family and many dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Jean; daughter, Veronica; his parents; and his siblings, Sandoval, and Eustaquio.
