Dori Lee Skaggs of Flat Rock, MI has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved her.

To raise a child is to give the world a future. Dori did this with care.

Dori Lee Skaggs, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away on May 2, 2026, in Flat Rock, Michigan, at the age of 69. Born on February 23, 1957, in Wyandotte, Michigan, she filled her 69 years with love, laughter, and a spirit of adventure.

Dori cherished spending time with her family, always finding joy in the warmth of their company. She loved traveling, exploring new places, and creating cherished memories with her loved ones. A visit to the casino was another pastime she enjoyed, where she delighted in the excitement and camaraderie.

She was preceded in death by her dear son, Daryl Faulkner; her brother, Drake Feerer; and her parents, Frank and Elizabeth Feerer.

Left to honor her memory is her devoted husband, Robert Skaggs; her loving children, Poppy (Jeremy) Reyna, and Alison (Chris) Mortellaro. She also leaves behind her treasured grandchildren, Celeste Coffee, Alyssa Moses, Brendan Faulkner, and Mariah Faulkner; as well as her precious great-grandchildren, Paislee Touhey, Adrian Moses, Abrielle Moses, Abram Moses, and Arielle Moses.

Dori is also survived by her siblings, Frank (Doreen) Feerer II, Erin (Dennis) Hayes, April (Al) Rice, and Holly Hancock, her mother-in-law Ruth (The late Butch) Skaggs, and sisters and brothers-in-law Ruth (Michael) Church, Gregory (Annetta) Skaggs and Cathy (Dan) Demitroff. Her passing is mourned by many loving friends and family who will miss her dearly.

Her life was a testament to love and family, and she will be remembered for her kindness, warmth, and zest for life.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Dori's name may be made to the American Lung Association.
