Edward Chavez was born on October 15, 1957, in Selma, California. Edward passed on April 19, 2026 in Fresno, California. He was an auditor for Fresno County.Edward had two loves in his life. One was his family and the other was traveling. in his life, he traveled to Spain, Italy, England, France, Germany, Puerto Vallarta, Yucatán, Mexico City, Hawaii, Washington State, North Carolina, New York, Washington DC, Massachusetts, and Canada. He also traveled extensively throughout California. Edward never married or had children of his own, but instead adopted his nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews as his own. He attended their sports events, dramatic plays, ballet recitals, birthdays, weddings, and baptismal . Eddie always encouraged them to pursue education. He always said he wanted a doctor or lawyer in the family.Edward is proceeded in death by his father Jesus Chavez, his mother, Catalina Chavez, and his sister Leticia Nuanes. He is survived by his brother Jesus Chavez Jr. and his wife Francis, his brother Armando Chavez, and his wife Irma, his sister Betty Romero and her husband Lupe and his sister Lupe Castaneda.
