Gonzalo M. De Luna, age 67, was our world and on May 4, 2026, our world stopped. A viewing will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, at 10:00am with a prayer service at 6:00pm, at Templo Sinai in Plainview. A funeral service will be held on Friday, May 8, 2026, at 2:00pm, at Templo Sinai. Burial will follow in Plainview Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the care of Lemons Funeral Home in Plainview.Gonzalo was born in Piedras Negras, Coahuila, Mexico to his loving parents, Gonzalo and Catalina De Luna on June 19, 1958. During his 67-year life journey he was blessed to find the love of his life, Mary Jane Soto, and they married on March 18, 1979, in Plainview, Texas.In their 46 years of marriage, God gave them two daughters, Patricia and Amanda De Luna, who were the apple of Gonzalo’s eye. He and his wife shared five grandchildren, four boys whom he called his “comparitos” and loved to spend time with them shooting his guns and his one and only granddaughter, who was his one and only “princess.” He loved to make everyone laugh, tell jokes, and do yardwork. He especially loved spending time with his family.Music was Gonzalo’s passion; “if it involved God and guitar count me in,” and for 45 years Gonzalo used his God given gift of music to minister to others.Gonzalo is preceded in death by his parents, Gonzalo and Catalina De Luna.He leaves a legacy of love and faith in those he cherished most, his wife, Mary Jane Soto-De Luna; his two daughters, Patricia De Luna of Lubbock and Amanda De Luna of Plainview; five grandchildren, Nathaniel, Nayelli, Carlos, Caleb, and Alejandro; one brother, Rafael De Luna of Piedra Negras, Mexico; and three sisters, Rosario Sarmiento of Piedras Negras, Mexico, Cruzelva Ruiz of Eagle Pass, Texas, and Brigida Otañez of Saltillo, Mexico.~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~Gonzalo M.
