Some people pass through; others leave a path.
Abbie "Evelyn" G. Hall, 71, of Port Huron, passed away on April 24, 2026, at McLaren Port Huron Hospital. She was born on February 3, 1955, in Detroit, Michigan, and lived a life marked by kindness, family, and a gentle spirit that touched all who knew her.
Abbie grew up in Michigan and attended Port Huron High School. She was known by family and friends as someone who could be counted on, someone who listened, and someone who brought comfort simply by being near.
For 30 years, Abbie worked as a telephone operator for AT&T. She took pride in doing her work well, and she formed lasting connections through the many years she spent there.
In her free time, Abbie enjoyed being with her family and following Detroit Tigers baseball. Whether spending time with loved ones or cheering on her favorite team, she found joy in the moments that mattered most.
Above all else, Abbie cherished her family. She is survived by her son, Jonathan (Heather Ries) Hall; grandchildren, Amanda (Ryan) Judkins, Jackson Ries, and Grace Ries; siblings, Sue (Chris) Allen, Terri Kekhoua, Pamela Flaherty, Robbin Hall, Diane Hall; along with several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews.
Abbie was preceded in death by her parents, Ira and Evelyn Hall; and by her siblings, George Kekhoua, JoAnn (Gary) Redmond, Michael Hall, Patrick Hall, and Rodney Hall.
Abbie leaves behind a legacy of love, patience, and devotion that will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends. Her life was a blessing to those who knew her, and her memory will be cherished always.
A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. at Grace Memorial - Smith Chapel, 1525 Hancock Street, Port Huron, Michigan 48060, with visitation beginning at 2:00 p.m. Pastor Patrick Thompson will officiate.
