Allison spent her working life as ['teacher and school counselor at Notre Dame Preparatory School'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A parent leaves not only memory, but the people they helped become.
Allison Davids McGlone peacefully passed away on May 2nd, surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with Multiple Sclerosis. She was born in Baltimore in 1949 to William Roland "Ruck" Davids and Alice Bowen Davids, and attended Mercy High School and Mount Saint Agnes College before earning two Master's degrees from Loyola University.
As a dedicated educator over her long career, she worked as a teacher and school counselor at Notre Dame Preparatory School, Maryvale Preparatory School, Roland Park Country School, Saint Paul's School for Girls, and Milford Mill High School. Allison was beloved by both faculty and students, known for her unwavering commitment to supporting others.
Outside of her professional life, Allison cherished time spent at the beach, enjoyed the outdoors, and loved sharing laughter with her family. She was a tireless advocate for peace and justice, always striving to help make the world a better place for those around her.
Allison is survived by her devoted husband of 55 years, Dennis Patrick McGlone; her children, Andrew McGlone (Sarah), Meghan McGlone Harrison (Brian), and Evan McGlone (Misty); her grandchildren, Caroline McGlone, Mia McGlone, Arthur Harrison, James Harrison, Max McGlone and Betty McGlone; her sisters Christine Greason and Deborah Donohue; her brother Ruck Davids, step-sister Carol Stange, step-brothers Matthew, Joseph, John and Jeffrey Emm, step-mother Joan Davids, and many nieces and nephews.
A Memorial Mass will be held on May 9, 2026 at 11:00AM at Saint Ignatius Church, 740 N. Calvert Street, Baltimore, MD.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society or the Public Justice Center.
