Aurora Valdez Querido Jalmasco devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, caring sister, aunt, and friend. Born on May 10, 1943 in Tondo Manila, Philippines. Grew up in Pozzurrubio Pangasinan. Attended Murphy Elementary School in Quezon City. Then moved to Pembo Makati City and graduated high school at the Armed Forces of the Philippines School for Enlisted Men in 1960. Took a break from school to help provide for her family to hand wash and iron clothes for the wealthy. In 1973, she graduated with a degree in Education at Arellano University in Manila and continued onto teach grade school. She found much joy as a beautician, planting her summer gardens, and preparing a feast for all. Migrated to Chicago in 1977 and became a Mother in 1980. Moved to Franklin Park where she made a home for her family and passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026.
Survived by husband Rodolfo Mojica Jalmasco; daughter Raquel Arlene Lubinski and husband Jacob Jeffery Lubinski, grandchildren Caleb Jeffery Lubinski, Lyla Arlene Lubinski, Angelina Irena Lubinski and Mila Aurora Lubinski; daughter Lavinya Querido Jalmasco, daughter Anna Lisa Querido Jalmasco, son Jason Ryne Jalmasco, and a dog grandma to Foster.
Visitation for Aurora Jalmasco of Franklin Park will be Thursday, May 7, 2026 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Northlake Funeral Home. Funeral Friday 8:30 a.m. from the funeral home to St. John Vianney Church for Mass at 10:00 a.m. Committal Service with Burial at Mt. Emblem Cemetery, Elmhurst. A lunch to honor Aurora will be immediately following the burial service to be held at Villa Bella Banquets, 9755 W. Grand Ave., Franklin Park IL 60131.
