Betty Lynn White, affectionately known as Betty or MeMe, passed away peacefully on May 4, 2026, in Morton, Mississippi. Born on June 23, 1947, in Jackson, Mississippi, Betty lived a life marked by kindness, warmth, and an unwavering devotion to her family.Throughout her career, Betty served as a dedicated bookkeeper for Trustmark National Bank, where her diligence and attention to detail made her an invaluable team member. Yet, it was her role as a loving mother, MeMe, and friend that brought her the greatest pride and fulfillment. Those who knew Betty remember her as a very sweet lady whose presence brought comfort and joy to all around her. No matter what, she always had an unforgettable smile on her face that would light up the room.Betty’s home was always filled with laughter and the delightful aromas of her excellent cooking, a skill that friends and family treasured. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life: watching television, enjoying precious family time, and savoring a REAL Coke, a small indulgence that perfectly reflected her down-to-earth spirit.Family held the utmost importance in Betty’s heart. She was a proud mother to her son, Tally White, and his wife Laurie of Gulf Shores, Alabama; and to her daughter, Stacy Garner, and her husband William of Morton, Mississippi. Her greatest joy was her grandsons—Tyler White, Cooper White, and Jake White (Henley), whose playful energy brought endless light to her days.While Betty is dearly missed, she is reunited with her beloved parents, Harold Barlow and Georgia Berry Barlow, and her dear siblings, Percy Barlow, Don Barlow, and Carol June Thacker, who have gone before her.Those wishing to pay their respects may join the visitation services at Chancellor Funeral Home Florence, located at 2576 US 49, Florence, MS 39073, on May 6, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and on May 7, 2026, beginning at 9:00 AM. The funeral service will follow on May 7, 2026, at 10:00 AM at the same location. Betty will be laid to rest at Harrisville Community Church Cemetery in Harrisville, MS.Pallbearers: Tyler White, Jake White, Cooper White, Brad White, Corey Rigdon, and Kyle Garner.Betty Lynn White leaves behind a legacy of love, kindness, and quiet strength.
