Born, July 31, 1954, in Hamilton, OH, she was the daughter of the late Charles E. and Anna Spivey Cameron.Charlotte was a dedicated member of Westside Baptist Church in Cheraw, South Carolina, and the Past President of the Society Hill Lions Club. She graduated in December of 2012 from Northeastern Technical College with an Associate’s Degree of applied Science in General Business and was the Vice President of the Student Government Association from 2011 until 2012 and graduated in May of 2013 from Sommerset Community College in London, KY with an Associate’s Degree in Arts. Charlotte was an accomplished author of children’s literature, having published the books Doozy the Lonely Firefly and Snazzy Razzy. In addition to her passion for writing, Charlotte enjoyed painting and dining out. Her professional career included work with the Cheraw Chronicle, The Link Newspaper, and the Florence Morning News.Along with her parents, listed above, Charlotte was preceded in death by her brother, George Timothy Cameron.She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband of 20 years, Hugh Charles “Chuck” Berger; her son, Larry Brummett of London, KY; her daughter, Angel Laster of London, KY; brothers, Mark R. Cameron and Charles Russell Cameron of Hamilton, OH; grandchildren, Mercedes “Sadie” and Breanna; and four great-grandchildren.A funeral service will be held at 12:00 Noon on Friday, May 8, 2026, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
