Faith gave Donna a place to stand, and a place to return to.

Pomeroy - Donna Ohlinger, 94, of Pomeroy, passed away Monday, May 4, 2026 at Overbrook Rehabilitation Center in Middleport.Born September 14, 1931, in Pomeroy, Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Hilda Smith White. Donna was a 1949 graduate of Chester High School and spent many years as a secretary at Salisbury Elementary School. She was a member of the Pomeroy First Baptist Church and was also a Girl Scout Leader. She was an avid Cleveland Browns fan, enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, to crochet and cook. She was a devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother who never missed an extracurricular activity or ball game. Family was the biggest part of her life and her Sunday evening dinners were a big part of the legacy she leaves behind.She is survived by two daughters, Deborah Davis and Kimberly (Jim) Oliphant; one son, Steve (Lita) Ohlinger; seven grandchildren, Andrew (Ashley) Davis, Kayte Davis, Jaynee Davis, Aaron Oliphant, Shelby (Brandon) Bowling, Dillyn (Corey Gray) Ohlinger and Morgan (Nick) Hudson; several great-grandchildren; one sister, Carolyn Sue Woode; one sister-in-law, Coleen Ohlinger and several nieces, nephews and cousins.Besides her parents, she was proceeded in death by her husband of 64 years, William Ohlinger in 2017 ; son-in-law Wayne Davis; one brother, Thomas White and two sisters, Iris Carr and Lillian Penn.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, May 7, 2026 at the Ewing Funeral Home in Pomeroy with Jim Oliphant officiating. Burial will follow in the Beech Grove Cemetery in Pomeroy. Food and fellowship will follow immediately after the services at the Ewing Family Center, all are welcome. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening from 4:00 - 7:00 PM at Ewing Funeral Home. Friends are invited so sign the online guestbook at ehwfh.com.
