Elaine Kay LeBlanc of Royal Oak, Michigan passed away on Friday, May 1, 2026 surrounded by her family.
A devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend.
Elaine was born in Detroit, Michigan on November 17, 1947 to the late Charles and Margaret Rank. She was the oldest of 10 children in an Irish Catholic family. Growing up in Pleasant Ridge, Michigan, she proudly attended St. Mary's Catholic School in Royal Oak.
She was a kind spirit, loving and protective of her family. Elaine had a big heart and always enjoyed a good laugh. She loved to dance and taught dance to others. Some of her favorite things to do were to go out dancing or just dance and sing while making breakfast for her family.
In her later years, she always enjoyed traveling, especially trips with her sisters. Some of her favorite trips were to Ireland, Europe, and her favorite, Hawaii. She also enjoyed shopping or just sitting out in the sun. She will be truly missed by all who crossed her path.
Loving mother of Nicole Sage (Chris) and Jason Levell (Dawn Darling). Devoted grandmother of Tiffany Sage (Kris), Joseph Sage, Mikayla Rose Levell, Sara Simonsen, Austin Simonsen, and Emma Darling. Proud great-grandmother of Hayden Chapman. Dear sister of Rick Rank (Chris), Linda Farmer, Laurie Renaud (Paul), Robert Rank (Tasha), Greg Rank, Kevin Rank (Michelle), the late Lawrence T. Rank , the late Jeff Rank (the late Sue), and the late Thomas Rank. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Family will receive friends on Friday, May 15, 2026 from 12:00pm until the time of funeral service at 6:00pm at A.J. Desmond & Sons Funeral Home 2600 Crooks Rd. (between Maple/Big Beaver) Troy, MI 48084.
Elaine's favorite color was purple. To honor her, family and friends are encouraged to wear purple to her funeral.
