Ellis held deeply to the Latter-day Saints faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew them best.
Faith gave Ellis a place to stand, and a place to return to.
Ellis A. Tripp Sr., 84, longtime business owner and Entrepreneur of Belle Fourche died May 5, 2026 at Monument Health Spearfish Hospital.
A Visitation will be held Friday, May 8th from 5:00 to 7:00 pm at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Belle Fourche. Funeral services will be held Saturday, May 9th at 10:30 am at the church. Interment will follow at Pine Slope Cemetery in Belle Fourche. Following the interment there will be fellowship and Sharing of Memories at the Branding Iron Steakhouse and Social Club.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to the Compassion Cupboard in Belle Fourche.
