The family of Faye R. Peters of High Point, NC announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.
These pages are a small offering toward a much larger life.
Faye spent her working life as ['the textile and furniture industry'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
Faith gave Faye a place to stand, and a place to return to.
Mrs. Faye R. Peters, 77, of High Point, North Carolina, passed away on May 4, 2026, at her home.
Faye was born on February 13, 1949, in Newton, North Carolina, the daughter of Clyde H. and Rhoda Caldwell Reinhardt. She often described herself as a "farm girl," learning mechanical skills and various trades from her father before his passing when she was just ten years old. Those lessons stayed with her throughout her life and helped shape her strong, capable spirit.
She attended Catawba Valley College in Hickory, North Carolina, and married the love of her life, Ed Peters, on March 31, 1967. Five years later, they welcomed their son, Brent-their greatest joy-and soon settled in the High Point area, where Faye built a long and respected career in the textile and furniture industry.
In 1973, she joined Carr Mill Supplies, Inc., where she worked in operations and bookkeeping for more than five decades. Faye was deeply valued by customers, who relied on her knowledge and dedication to keep their businesses running smoothly. She was a natural problem solver, always ready to offer guidance and help others find solutions when they needed it most.
Faye was also a longtime member of Oak View Baptist Church, where she faithfully served as a children's Sunday school teacher. Her faith was an important part of her life.
A devoted wife, mother, and woman of faith, Faye was known for her intelligence, strength, and kindness. Even through illness, she persevered with quiet determination, always putting her family first and never losing her gentle spirit.
She was a loving and steadfast presence in the lives of those she cherished. Her love was selfless and unwavering, and her family was her greatest pride and joy. The care, support, and unconditional love she gave will be treasured forever.
She is survived by her husband, Ed Peters of High Point, North Carolina; and her son, Brent E. Peters and his wife, Megan, of Walnut Cove, North Carolina.
She now rests in the presence of her Lord and Savior, whom she faithfully served. Her memory will forever live in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 7, at Cumby Family Funeral Service in High Point, North Carolina. The family will receive friends for one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will follow later that day at 2:00 p.m. at Mt.
