There are losses that teach us the weight of a life.
Frances B. "Lindy" Ehart, age 87, of Townsend, DE, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in New York, NY, on January 16, 1939, she was a daughter of the late Walter J. and Matilda "Billie" (Armata) LaRue. Lindy worked as a physician's office manager.
She found joy in life's simple pleasures and shared that warmth generously with others. Lindy was a proud member of the Wilmington Manor Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary. She had a special talent for artificial flower arranging, creating beautiful pieces that reflected both her creativity and her eye for detail. Known for her bright spirit, Lindy approached life with an eternal optimism that uplifted everyone around her.
In addition to her parents, Lindy was preceded in death by her husband of over 60 years, Donald J. Ehart. She is survived by her children, Terry Lambert (Wayne), D. Mark Ehart and Robert Ehart (Michele); sister, Diana McNair; 7 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; and 2 great-great grandchildren.
A visitation for family and friends will be held from 10 am until 11 am on Friday, May 1, 2026, at Spicer-Mullikin Funeral Home, 275 East Main Street, Middletown, DE, where a memorial service will begin at 11 am. Interment will be held privately.
