Of Marshfield, formerly of South Boston, Dorchester, and Hyannis, Ed died peacefully on May 1, 2026.Beloved husband of the late Eleanor L. (Dwyer) Barry.Loving father of Edward Barry and his wife Katy Barry of Watertown, Mary Foster and her husband Bryan Foster of Marshfield, and the late Trooper Paul Barry and his late wife Maryellen Barry of Franklin.Cherished Grampy to his twelve grandchildren, Hannah Barry, Nicholas Barry, Christopher Barry, Emily Barry, Ali Barry, Colin Barry, Griffin Foster, Chloe and her husband Conor Kelleher, Michaela Barry, Cordelia Foster, James Barry, and Elizabeth Barry.Great-Grampy to Raya and Lola Kelleher.Brother of Nancy and her late husband Daniel Logan, Linda and her husband Peter Marcaurelle, Kathleen and her husband Sammy Amami, and the late William Barry, Elizabeth “Betty” Connolly Walsh and her husband Don Walsh, Patrick Barry, John Barry, and Robert and his wife Alice Barry.Brother-in-law of Maureen Barry, Janice “Cookie” Barry, Anne Barry, Rosemary Darling, and James Rutstein.Ed is also survived by many nieces and nephews.Family and friends will honor and remember Ed’s life by gathering for visiting hours in the Murphy Funeral Home, 1020 Dorchester Ave., DORCHESTER, on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M.His Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mark Church, 1725 Dorchester Ave., Dorchester, on Tuesday morning, May 12, 2026, at 9:30 A.M.Burial with Military Honors will be held in Cedar Grove Cemetery, Dorchester.Ed proudly served in the U.S. Marine Corps.
