Harold held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.
It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of long time Wheaton concrete magnet Harold J Westwood who passed away April 30, 2026, at the age of 87. He was preceded in death by his wife, Sharon Westwood who passed away on April 11, 2026. May 9 Harold and Sharon would have celebrated 62 years of marriage. Now they will be celebrating together in heaven.
Born and raised in Wheaton, Harold lived and worked his entire life in the community he loved. A loving husband, father, and grandfather who was loved and will be truly missed. A devout Catholic, he was a longtime parishioner of St. Michael's Church. He treasured weekly breakfast with his high school friends and weekends with his family. He was still actively involved in Harold Westwood Concrete Inc.up to a year ago. Harold was outgoing and well respected in the business community of Wheaton and Glen Ellyn.
Harold was heavily involved in Wheaton Youth Baseball with his boys. In his later years, he got the most joy out of watching his grandsons playing youth sports, all the way through high school. He lived for "Friday Night Lights!"
He is survived by his four children: David (Wendi), Holly Tadder (Jeff), Brian and Cindy, and six grandchildren. Taylor, Brock, Tanner, Brielle, Luke, and Logan. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Memorial Visitation Tuesday May 12, 2026 from 4 to 8 p.m. at Williams-Kampp Funeral Home 430 E. Roosevelt Rd., Wheaton, IL 60187.
