The family of Harold LeRoy Christianson of Ericsburg, MN announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

Harold spent his working life as ['many years before retiring as Maintenance Superintendent'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
Family is the thread that runs through every story.
Harold LeRoy Christianson, age 90, of Rogers Corner, International Falls, Minnesota, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, April 28, 2026.
Harold was born on October 23, 1935, in Rat Root Township to Bernard and Agnes Christianson. He was united in marriage to Corrine Ann Peterson on April 5, 1955. Together, they raised six children on the family farm in Rogers Corner, building a life rooted in hard work, family, and living life to the fullest.
Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a graduate of Falls High School and Dunwoody College of Technology in Minneapolis, where he studied electrical and HVAC. He spent the majority of his career at the Boise Cascade Paper Mill, where he worked for many years before retiring as Maintenance Superintendent. Harold was known for his strong work ethic, leadership, and dedication to providing for his family.
After retirement, Harold and Corrine built a life on Gannon Creek, where they spent many years hunting and gathering with family and friends. He was always up for an adventure and enjoyed countless camping, fishing, and hunting trips over the years, especially his memorable trips to Canada and Alaska. Harold was also an accomplished wood carver, creating thousands of carvings, and was especially well known for his gnomes, walking sticks, and back scratchers, which brought joy to many.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Corrine, of 53 years; his parents; his brother, Ken; and his sister, Fern.
Harold is survived by his daughters, Paula Nielson, Cindy (Rob) Meyer, Wendy Westerlund, Sheila Gould, and Kristina (Delane) Baumchen; and his son, Robert (Sarah); his brothers Floyd (Jackie) and Norman (Loretta); and his sister Linda Mankus. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild, all of whom brought him great pride and joy.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 23, 2026, at Ericsburg Cemetery, located at the end of County Road 142 in Ericsburg, with a luncheon to immediately follow at VFW Post 2948 in International Falls, Minnesota. Family and friends are invited to join us for the luncheon, where we would love to hear your stories and memories of Harold.
Harold will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew him.
