James spent his working life as ['BASF before moving to Hot Springs'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Some people pass through; others leave a path.

James Allen Killian, 88, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed away May 1, 2026. He was born December 15, 1937 in Morristown, TN, to Fred Killian and Vergie Killian.

Formerly of Morristown, TN, James retired from BASF before moving to Hot Springs. James also found great joy in his work as a shuttle bus driver at Oaklawn Park, where he greeted each day with dedication and a warm spirit. James loved playing golf at Oscars in Morristown, Tennessee, enjoying the camaraderie and peaceful moments on the course. He will be remembered for his kindness, steady presence, and the simple pleasures that brought him happiness.

James was preceded in death by his wife Marjorie Killian; father, Fred Killian and mother, Vergie Killian.

Survivors include his sons Tim (Karla) Killian and Scott (Janet) Killian; Grandchildren Matt, Kristyn, Lane, Ryan, Lauryn, Adam and Abby Killian. Great-Grandchildren Anson Timothy Killian, Beau, Beckett and Kollins; step-daughter Lisa (Mark) Ellison.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to James' special caregiver Brandy Henthorn and the entire staff at Lake Hamilton Rehab for their loving care.

Family will have a private ceremony at a later date.
