Janette Carpenter, age 65, of Miles City.
January 17, 1961 – April 24, 2026
On the evening of April 24th, 2026, Janette Irene Carpenter left this earth to join her loved ones above after many years of battling cancer. Her heavenly Father decided she had suffered enough and it was time to come home.
Janette was born on January 17th, 1961, in Miles City, MT. She spent most of her youth hanging out with friends and family. She loved to sing, dance, and hold beauty pageant's. On February 14th, 1984, she married Dan Carpenter and they traveled all over the Untied States before settling down once again in Miles City where they raised there three boys, Daniel, Chris, and Aaron. She worked many jobs but retired as the "Donut Queen" at Albertsons. She loved to spend time with family, baking, playing cards and board games, listening to music, and watching classic cars drive by on Main Street.
Janette was preceded in death by her father, Archie Leo; mother, Alice Marie Swift; sister, Bonnie; son, Daniel; and brother-in-law Guy Gamber.
She is survived by her husband, Dan; sisters, Sharon (Frank) Howard, Sandy (Monty) Beeler, Nora Gamber, Gerri (Harvey) Bloxom, Debbie (Tony) Meyer; brother, Art Swift; sons, Chrsitopher (Kayla) Carpenter, Aaron Carpenter and daughter in law Judy; grandchildren, Archie (Sherri) Swift, Madison Swift, Nathan (Jada) Swift, Ashton Swift, Bridli Carpenter, Acelynn Carpenter; great-grandchildren, Kaden, Keegan, Danny, Sean, and Silas.
A visitation will be held on Thursday, May 7, 2026, with family receiving friends from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. A Funeral Service will be held at 2:30 p.m. on Friday, May 8th, 2026, at Stevenson & Sons Funeral Home in Miles City. Interment will follow in the family lot of Custer County Cemetery.
