Johnny J. Hendrix, 71, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center. Born December 12, 1954, in Mount Sterling, Kentucky, he was the son of the late Jesse Hendrix and Lola Barnett Hendrix.

Johnny was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother. A dedicated and hardworking man, he founded his own paving company, H & H Paving, which faithfully served Lexington and the surrounding communities for many years.

He will be remembered for his strong work ethic, his devotion to his family, and the lasting impact he made through both his business and the relationships he built throughout his life.

Johnny is survived by his sons, Stephen Hendrix (Ashley), and James Hendrix (Angela); his grandchildren, Charles Reeves, L.J. Hendrix (Summer), Brandon Hendrix, Trenton Hendrix, Tiffany Hendrix (David Campbell), and Briana Hendrix; seven great-grandchildren; his sisters, Beulah White, and Janice Bowman; and his brother, Glenn Hendrix.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Teresa Hendrix.

At this time, no services are planned.
