Joni spent her working life as ['medical secretary at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center'] and held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.
A life of faith is rarely a life of certainty — but always one of trust.
Joni B. Griffin, 72, passed away on May 3, 2026. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend whose life was defined by her kindness, strength, and unwavering love for her family. She was a member of Una First Free Will Baptist Church, where her faith was an important part of her life.
For over 20 years, Joni worked as a medical secretary at Spartanburg Regional Medical Center, where she was known for her dedication and caring spirit. She took pride in her work and the relationships she built along the way.
Joni found joy in her beloved chihuahua Missy, spending time with her family, crocheting, and gardening. She had a deep appreciation for life's quiet moments and cherished the memories she made with those she loved.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ken and Betty Brooks, and sister Debbie. She is now reunited with them in heaven.
Joni is survived by her faithful husband of 52 years, Alan, and her beautiful daughters, Leslie (Jon), Lisa, and Amy (Chad).
Her legacy continues through her adored grandchildren: Daniel (Nicole), April (James), Violet, Kayla, Matthew, Masen, Micah, Mitchell (Madison), and cherished great-children Evelyn, Ivy, David, and Finley, along with many extended family members and friends who will miss her dearly.
Joni will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family, and the warmth she brought into every room. Her memory will live on in the lives she touched and the love she gave so freely.
A visitation and Funeral service will be held at Eggers Funeral Home Saturday May 9th 2026 at 1:00pm a funeral service at 2:00pm, with a Comittal service to follow at Good Shepherd Memorial Park.
