The family of Larry C. Landers of Jacksonville, AR announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

What follows is not the whole story, but a thread of it.

Larry held deeply to the Baptist faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.

Faith gave Larry a place to stand, and a place to return to.

April 28, 2026

Larry C. Landers was born July 26, 1951 to Charlie and Ruth Landers, who preceded him in death. He was also preceded in death by his daughter Donyelle Landers, grandparents Charlie Landers Sr., Ella Landers, L.C. Thompson and Essie Thompson Baker.

He accepted Christ at the age of 16 at Clayton Chapel Missionary Baptist Church, in Sherwood, Arkansas.

He attended Harris High and Jones High School.

He was a small engine repairman and was fondly known as the "lawn mower man". He loved life and whenever you were in his presence you were guaranteed to laugh.

He leaves to cherish his memories children, LaRonn Smith Sr. (Quintina), Roshawn Landers, Rashad Landers and Mario Landers. Grandchildren, LaRonn Smith Jr., Sierra Smith, Keatron Howard, MeKayla Landers, Rashad Landers II, Javion Landers, Jamarion Hicks-Landers and Tawshan Landers. 12 Great Grandchildren. Siblings, Michael Landers, Leta Harley, Wendell Cole (Sherry), Darryl Landers (Kathy), Cynthia Dukes (Michael), Lorna Baker, and Charlotte Baugh.

Memorial Services will be held Saturday May 2, 2026, 3:00pm at A Natural State Funeral Service.
