The family of Mary Jane Solomon of York, PA announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.
These words are offered in her memory — small, but heartfelt.
A parent leaves not only memory, but the people they helped become.
With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Jane Solomon, who left this world on April 25, 2026, at the age of 83. Mary Jane was a loving, giving, and deeply cherished woman from York, Pennsylvania, whose heart was always open to those she loved. She was the kind of person who gave endlessly of herself; whether it was through her love, her kindness, or simply being there when her family needed her most. Her family meant everything to her, and she spent her life surrounding them with warmth, comfort, and unconditional love. She especially loved spending time with her family and found so much joy in the moments they shared together. One of her favorite pastimes was playing bingo, something that always brought her happiness and many wonderful memories. Mary Jane was preceded in death by the love of her life, her husband, Glenn Solomon, who passed away on July 12, 2024. While our hearts ache knowing they are both gone, there is comfort in imagining them reunited once again. She leaves behind her beloved children: Rose, Charlene, Glenn, Doug, and Joseph; her treasured grandchildren: Kenneth, Dustin, Jonathon, Thomas, Casey, Glenn Jr., Keri, Tori, Bryan, Annie, Ben, and Tim; and her adored great-grandchildren: Rosalee, Maddox, Catlin, Jamison, Journi, Violet, and Lewis. Mary Jane's love will continue to live on through each of them and through every memory shared, every lesson taught, and every moment of love she gave so freely. She was the heart of her family, and her absence will be felt deeply by all who had the blessing of knowing her. She will be forever loved, forever missed, and forever remembered. A Graveside Service will be held Friday, May 8, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Susquehanna Memorial Gardens. Please meet inside the entrance at 12:45 p.m.
