Carolyn Kropf, born February 20, 1951, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2026, surrounded by the love of those who cherished her. She leaves behind a legacy defined by kindness, strength, and a deep devotion to the people and places she held close.
Throughout her life, Carolyn was known for her generous spirit and her ability to make others feel seen and valued. Whether through her work, her friendships, or the countless small acts of care she offered without hesitation, she created a sense of warmth wherever she went.
Carolyn approached life with sincerity and resilience. She embraced challenges with grace, celebrated joys with gratitude, and found meaning in the everyday moments that often go unnoticed. Those fortunate enough to know her will remember her steady guidance, her thoughtful conversations, and the comfort of her gentle humor.
She will be deeply missed by family, friends, and all who were touched by her life. Though her absence leaves an ache that cannot be filled, her memory will continue to inspire love, compassion, and connection in the lives she shaped.
Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, Bob and Mae Gamble Pritchett, sister, Una Pritchett Pace, and brothers, Edgar Prtichett. Charles Pritchett and James Henry Pritchett.
She is survived by her loving husband Bob Kropf, children Sonia Kropf (Patrick Temple), Chad Kropf (Nikki), grandchildren Matthew Kropf (Alexis), Kyle McCrary, and Sean Kropf, great-grandchildren Lily and Jaxon, sister-in-law Betty Pritchett, several nieces and nephews along with many other loving family members.
The family will receive friends at Scottsboro Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 5, 2026 beginning at 11:00 am with service officiated by Bro. Dennis Dodson to follow at 1 pm.
