The family of Peggy Elizabeth Sims of Martinsburg, WV announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

The chapters of her life were many; these are some of them.

Peggy spent her working life as ['the CIA in Human Resources until her retirement'] — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew her best.

Love, when given fully, leaves its mark on every life it touches.

Peggy Elizabeth Sims, 90, of Martinsburg, WV, passed away on Monday, May 4, 2026, at Viva Senior Living Hagerstown, MD.

She was born on December 27, 1935, in Charlotte County, Virginia, to the late John Stanley Breedlove and Grace Ion (Elder) Breedlove.

Peggy received her associate's degree from Lord Fairfax Community College. She was employed by the CIA in Human Resources until her retirement.

She was of the Baptist faith. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, theatre, family activities and traveling.

She is survived by her son, William G. Sims, Jr. of Bristow, VA; daughter, Kathryn Berrier of Martinsburg, WV; grandsons, Zachary Sims, Hunter Sims, and Sean Sims. Brother, Francis Breedlove and numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, William G. Sims, Sr. in 2020, her son, Donald K. Sims, granddaughter, Bailey Sims and seven brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Osborne Funeral Home, P.A., 425 S. Conococheague St., Williamsport, MD at 11:00 am. A visitation will take place one hour prior to the service from 10:00 – 11:00 am on Saturday.
