The family of Prudencio C. Aguinaldo of Virginia Beach, VA announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.
What remains is memory — and the gratitude of those he loved.
Prudencio held deeply to the Catholic faith — and was, by all accounts, loved by those who knew him best.
Behind the medals and ribbons was a person — and that person mattered most.
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Prudencio Aguinaldo Sr., age 85, of Virginia Beach, VA, who passed away on April 30, 2026.
A faithful Catholic parishioner and proud veteran of the United States Navy, Prudencio lived a life marked by faith, service, and commitment. He served his country with honor and carried those values throughout his life.
Prudencio was a dedicated father to his three children, Maria, Prudencio Jr,. and Daisy, a cherished family member, and a dear friend to many. He will be remembered for his caring heart, his guidance, and support he gave to his family. His strength, character, and steady presence left a lasting impression on his family, friends, and all who knew him.
He is survived by his children, Maria Hughes, Prudencio Aguinaldo Jr, Daisy Divino and his 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Carmelita Aguinaldo.
A viewing will be held at Bayside Christian Church on May 7, 2026, between 4:00PM though 7:00PM. A memorial service will follow on May 9, 2026, at St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church at 4:00PM.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made, in Prudencio Aguinaldo's honor, to St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church or to the Navy-Marine Corps Relief Society.
May his soul, and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
