Here is a glimpse of the life he lived, in his family's own remembrance.

The ordinary days are often the ones we miss most.

Robert Herman “Bob” Huller, Sr. passed away peacefully on May 1, 2026 in his home, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and dedication to those who knew him best.Known to friends and family simply as Bob, he was a man who valued family, hard work, integrity, and kindness. He lived his life with quiet purpose and always showed up for the people he cared about. He owned and operated Huller Construction for over 20 years, serving the metro-east communities.Bob’s life story is one marked by husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, and friend. He took pride in his family, woodworking, boating, and those amazing games that he and mom would always bring home from their RV travels. Those closest to him will always remember the cherished family weekends spent at Carlyle Lake where laughter filled the days and memories were made on the water. Bob took great joy in teaching his family how to water ski, patiently encouraging them and celebrating every success. Those moments—sunlit afternoons, shared smiles, and time together—will remain some of the most treasured memories of his life.He is deeply missed and remembered by his loving wife of 62 years, Judy Huller, his sons, Denis Gwaltney of Hurst, Illinois, Robert Huller Jr. (Nicole) of Zebulon, North Carolina, and Michael Huller (Latischa) of Albuquerque, New Mexico. Bob is also survived by his two brothers, Mark (Mary) and Bruce (Shirley), as well as his four sisters, Ruth Schoen, Helen Costello, Viola Sizemore, and Marcella (Craig) Herzog, by his ten cherished grandchildren: Shannon, Victoria, Josh, Megan, Bryan, Sara, Keith, Alyssa, Raelyn, and Justyn; and three great-grandchildren, Ella, Jade, and Tate, and one very special puppy, Riley. They all brought him great pride and joy. He has been reunited in peace with his parents, Marcellus “Mike” Huller and Viola Huller; his sister, Mary Missey; his daughter, Pamela Sue Gwaltney; his god-daughter Lynn Beste, and several brothers-in-law.Bob’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and the love he gave so freely.
