Mr. Russell Steven Powell formerly of Lumberton, North Carolina passed away recently in Fulton County, Georgia. He is survived by his son Edward Pernell Powell and (EP's mother) Cheryl Thompson Powell along with several siblings. The full obituary will follow. Family and friends may gather at designated times to be announced by his family at the home of their parents on Spearman Street in Lumberton.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday May 9, 2026 at 1:00 pm in the Powell Family Cemetery Greenville Church Road, Lumberton, NC.
