What we carry forward is the light others gave us.

GWINN, MI – Ruth Ann McNamee, a woman whose life was a rhythmic blend of service, music, and family, has gone to be with the Lord and reunited with her Husband of 48 years, Patrick McNamee.

A Life of Rhythm and Harmony

Ruth was perhaps best known to her community as the heartbeat of the Starduster Band. For over 35 years, she sat behind the drum kit, keeping time for countless dances and celebrations. Her passion for music was a constant thread throughout her life, bringing joy to both her and those who danced to her beat.

Beyond the stage, Ruth dedicated her professional life to caring for others. As a Home Maker Aide for senior citizens, she provided essential support and companionship to those in their golden years.

Ruth was preceded in death by her husband Partick McNamee, Son Patrick Mcnamee Jr, and Companion Author Lehman. She is survived by her Brother-Patrick Phelps, Son-Vince and Michelle McNamee and Daughter-Victoria and Mark Cartwright. 5 Grand Children and 9 Great-Grand Children.

Services will be held Grave Side on Monday June 15, 2026 at 11:00am at the Rapid River Masonville Township Cemetery Country Rd 509. The Skradski Family Funeral Homes of Delta County are assisting the family.
