The family of Stanley Lee Taulbee of Fayette, OH announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

What you read below is one part of a life lived with quiet purpose.

A name is a small thing to hold a whole life.

FAYETTE-Stanley Lee Taulbee, age 65, formerly of Waldron, died Tuesday morning, May 5, 2026, at Fountain Park Assisted Living in Bryan, where he had resided since 2022. He was born December 31, 1960, in Morgan County, Kentucky, to Bradford Taulbee and the former Mildred Harris.

Stan moved to Fayette with his mother in 1962 and graduated from Gorham-Fayette High School. Following graduation, he selflessly enlisted to serve his country as a member of the United States Army. He returned to civilian life as a welder, working for Bil Jax Inc. in Archbold for over 30 years.

Known as a free-spirit and life of the party, Stan notably was born on New Year's Eve and fittingly left his world on Cinco de Mayo. He loved to play bass on his guitar and performing with his band. He also enjoyed working on cars, fishing and utilizing his carpentry skills.

Surviving is a daughter, Melissa Valentine of Archbold; sister, Sandra Robinson (Eric Saaf) of Fayette; brother, Tony Robinson of Fayette; and three grandchildren, Leora, Chase and Corbin Valentine. Stanley was preceded in his death by his father, Brad Taulbee; and mother, Mildred "Millie" (Claude "Buddy") Robinson.

Cremation will take place, and details regarding a public celebration of life will soon be announced.

Memorial donations are suggested to be given to the family to defray final expenses, and can be paid directly towards expenses through Stanley's Tribute Fund on the funeral home website. Arrangements have been made with the guidance of the Marry Funeral Home, Fayette.
