The family of Virginia "Irene" McCall of Pinellas Park, FL announces her passing, and invites all who knew her to remember her here.

Virginia "Irene" McCall, a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, passed away on April 30, 2026, leaving a legacy of love, laughter, and kindness.

Irene was born in Alexandria, Virginia, on January 20, 1935. In 1969, she moved to Pinellas Park, Florida with her husband Norman and her two children. She worked in the Jack Eckerd Corporation Photo Lab until retiring in 1990.

Irene was a loving mother who always listened and gave good advice. She was a wonderful grandmother, attending most of her grandchildren's events. Irene enjoyed many fun trips to Disney World with her loved ones. Nothing made her happier than being surrounded by family. She also visited a few special places including Hawaii, Austria, Germany, and New York City. Irene was active in the Pinellas Park American Legion Post 104 Ladies Auxiliary while her husband Norman was serving as Commander.

Irene loved watching professional and college football. She grew up a Washington Redskin fan and adopted the Tampa Bay Buccaneers when the franchise was established in 1976. She followed Florida and Florida State football and attended several games while her children and grandchildren were in college.

Irene was preceded in death by her husband Norman McCall; her mother, Alice Gertrude Henderson; her father, John Edward Henderson; her brother Mike Henderson, and brother Charles Henderson. She is survived by her daughter, Vickie Brock and son-in-law Karl Brock; her son, Robert Tuell and daughter-in-law, Sandra Tuell; her beloved granddaughters, Kristina Nanton (Nick), Amanda Vaughn (Clint), Kara Bradley (Sean), Kayleigh Tuell (Jacob), and Hannah Tuell; her beloved great grandchildren Brock Nanton, Bowen Nanton, Addison Nanton, Rylee Vaughn, Brayden Vaughn, Beau Bradley, and Jack Bradley.

A Memorial Celebration will be held on May 8th at 1:00 p.m. at Memorial Park Funeral Home and Cemetery, 5750 49th Street N., St. Petersbug, FL 33709.
