The family of Walter D. Dussman of BELLEVILLE, PA announces his passing, and invites all who knew him to remember him here.

A life is more than dates on a stone; here is a small portion of his story.

Memory has a way of softening time.

Walter D. Dussman, 72, of Belleville, was welcomed into the arms of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Sunday, May 3, 2026, at Geisinger Medical Center.

Born May 7, 1953, in Jersey City, New Jersey, he was the son of the late Walter and Maureen Dussman.

Walter is survived by his wife, Edith Dussman; his daughters, Bridgette Dussman and her husband, Scott Garcia, of Austin, Texas, and Hannah Griffith and her husband, Chris Griffith, of Lewistown; his cherished grandchildren, Liam, Norah, and Warren Griffith; and his siblings, Dennis Dussman, Daniel Dussman, Michael Dussman and Maureen Spanarkel of New Jersey.

Walter devoted more than 40 years of service as a postal worker at various locations throughout his career, most recently in State College where he retired.

He faithfully attended the Upper Room Worship Center and lived a life centered around faith, family, and generosity. Walter was an avid motorcyclist and proudly rode with the Patriot Riders chapter of A.B.A.T.E of Pennsylvania and the American Legion Riders. He also enjoyed gardening, spending time outdoors, and creating lasting memories with his family.

A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at King Funeral Home and Crematory, 47 Carriage House Lane, Reedsville. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastors Jennie Hagemyer and Harold Sharp officiating.

Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery in Belleville.

Memorial contributions in Walter's memory may be made to Pennsylvania Horticultural Society or Doctors Without Borders.
