James Edward "Jim" Lowe of Middlebury, IN has gone home, leaving behind a circle of those who loved him.

The chapters of his life were many; these are some of them.

James "Jim" Edward Lowe, 71, of Middlebury, passed away at 12:36 am, on Saturday, May 2, at Center for Hospice Care, Esther's House, Elkhart. He was born on May 18, 1954, in Starke County, to Alfred and Mary (Chaney) Lowe. Surviving are two daughters, Brooke Lowe Westphal and Brandi (Hector) Lopez; one other child; five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Karon (Marcus) Wagner and Crystal Teeter. He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Jonas Lopez; sister, Katrina Lowe; brothers, Thomas and Timmy Lowe. Jim worked in the RV industry. He enjoyed playing hide-and-seek with his children. He liked fishing, hunting, and spending time with his great nieces and nephews. Visitation will be from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm on Friday, May 8, at Miller-Stewart Funeral Home, 1003 South Main Street, Middlebury. Funeral services will follow visitation beginning at 1:00 pm also at the funeral home. Services will be conducted by Tommy Lowe. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery, Bristol. Memorials may be given to Angels in the Attic Ministry. Online condolences may be offered at millerstewartfuneralhome.com.
