James Thompson Schwarz of Ridgewood, NJ, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

James "Jimmy" Schwarz, 34, of Ridgewood, passed away on May 4, 2026.
Born and raised in Ridgewood, NJ, Jimmy remained deeply connected to his hometown throughout his life. He was a graduate of Pace University, where he earned a degree in accounting, and went on to build his career with NYK Group Americas Inc.
Jimmy had a passion for sports and rarely missed an opportunity to attend a game. A devoted New York sports fan, he proudly supported the Yankees, Giants, Knicks, and Rangers. His dedication to the New York Giants was especially strong-he was a longtime season ticket holder and attended games for many years, creating lasting memories with family and friends.
Jimmy also had a deep love of history and an endless curiosity about the world around him. He took great interest in staying informed about current events and was always eager to learn and understand more. On a memorable family trip to London, his knowledge and enthusiasm was unmistakable-a moment his family will always hold close and remember with a smile. He also found great meaning in exploring his own family's history, cherishing the stories and connections that shaped who he was.
Jimmy had a rare gift for making people feel seen. He poured his heart into planning birthdays and holidays months in advance, driven by a deep desire to make every gathering a special and lasting memory for his friends and family.
Above all, Jimmy was a loving son and brother, known for his kindness, thoughtfulness, and generous spirit. He cherished time spent with his family, always making himself available to help his parents on weekends or to enjoy a simple dinner together. His warmth and loyalty left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
Jimmy will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his loving mother, Diane; his father, Jon; and his brother, Tommy.
Visitation will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
A funeral service will take place on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Feeney Funeral Home, 232 Franklin Avenue, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
Graveside services will follow at 11:30 AM at George Washington Memorial Park, 234 Paramus Road, Paramus, NJ 07652.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made in Jimmy's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
