James Vincent "Jimmy D" D'Alessandro Jr. of Oakdale, PA, has passed away, leaving behind a family and community who loved him dearly.

James "Jimmy D'" Vincent D'Alessandro Jr., 68, a life-long resident of Dormont, PA, most recently of Oakdale, PA passed away on April 22, 2026. Born on October 4, 1957 in Pittsburgh, PA he is the son of the late Jim and Marlene D'Alessandro, of Mt. Lebanon.

Beloved husband to Joni D'Alessandro for over 27 years; loving father to Angela (Zack Schell) Altieri; brother to Debra (Carole Brown) D'Alessandro of Philadelphia, PA. He is also survived by many cousins, friends, and his N.A. community.

He is preceded in death by his son, Christopher Wheeler.

Jim spent nearly 50 years working at Giant Eagle and was a proud member of UFCW Local 1776. He was known for his dedication to his job and the relationships he built over the years. In his free time, he loved cooking at home, attending concerts, fishing, and spending time outdoors. Above all, he cherished being with his family. Jim will also be remembered for his activity in N.A., offering support and encouragement to others.

A gathering of family and friends will be held on Thursday, April 30, 2026 from 10am until time of service at 12pm at Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral, 3287 Washington Road, McMurray, PA, 15317. Arrangements were entrusted to Pittsburgh Cremation and Funeral Care. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Jim's honor to Christopher's Kitchen or Narcotics Anonymous.
