Jane Ellen Gard, born November 23, 1946, in St. Joseph, Michigan, passed away April 30, 2026. She spent the majority of her life living in Sister Lakes, Michigan raising three children with her late husband Rudy, who sadly passed away in 2010.
Jane worked as a Registered Nurse and provided compassionate care to many over several decades. She was proud of being a nurse and shared many memories with her family of working at Benton Harbor Mercy Hospital, Watervliet Community Hospital, and Lakeland St. Joseph Hospital. She was a loyal and dedicated nurse who worked in the Critical Care Unit, Emergency Department, Rehab Unit, Care Management and was a House Supervisor.
Jane is survived by her daughter Mandy, her two sons, Derrick and Damon, grandchildren: Dylan, Jenna, Morgan, Kendall, Ben and Emma, and her great grandchildren: Eliana and Juliet.
Jane was preceded in death by her parents George and Cecil Douglas (Baker), her husband Rudy, siblings George, Sharon and Donna, and granddaughter Kaia.
