Janet Catherine Crable, age 101, of Blue Ash, passed away on May 3, 2026, with her family by her side. She was the devoted wife of 68 years to the late Charles L Crable.
Born in Cincinnati, Ohio, on October 23, 1924, Janet was the daughter of the late Frank and Genevieve Holdgrave. A dedicated homemaker, she poured her love, energy, and strength into her family and her home.
Janet was the loving mother of Elaine (Jim Brodzinski), Jack (Laura), and Scott (Kathy) Crable. She was a wonderful grandmother to 5 grandchildren and a proud great grandmother to 9. Her family was her greatest joy, and her legacy lives on in each of them. She will be remembered not just for the 101 years that she lived, but for the unmistakable way she lived them-on her own terms, with clear eyes and a full heart.
A visitation will begin at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 14, 2026, followed by a Funeral Mass at 11:00 a.m., both held at St. Saviour Church, 4136 Myrtle Ave., Cincinnati, OH 45236. Burial will take place at Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Online guestbook available at www.strawserfuneralhome.com.
